Meet the Staff
The Office of Alumni Relations works with alumni volunteers, faculty, staff and students to cultivate relationships with alumni, increase membership, enhance revenues, plan programs, inform and engage alumni in the campus to serve the best interest of the University. The staff ensures that the strategic plan of the Alumni Association and related programming is complementary to the University's mission and is aligned with and supportive of the vision and priorities as established by the University President. The staff also ensures that the Memorandum of Understanding between the Alumni Association and the University is respected.

Assistant Vice President, Alumni Relations
Gray Mounger began his career in Alumni Relations in 1983 at the age of 23 and over a quarter century later continues his service to higher education. At the University of Mississippi he was charged with developing a grass roots committee program for each of Mississippi’s 82 counties and coordinated all aspects of the regional club, student alumni, and athletic event programs. In 1990 he moved to George Washington University in Washington, DC where he served as Senior Associate Director and later acting Director of Alumni Relations. He was responsible for creating an international club program for this time in the institution’s history as well as a recent graduate program. Later, he became responsible for all reunion programming and coordinated all major and special alumni programs and events. At Cal State Northridge since 1994, he holds leadership positions in the CSU system and holds the record for longevity as an alumni relations professional among all of the CSU campuses.
