Purpose of the Registration Guide
The purpose of the Schedule of Classes (SOC) Registration Guide is to provide information resources to enroll in classes successfully each term; advise you of current deadlines, registration system features, enrollment requirements and effective practices; and summarize academic policies pertaining to enrollment.

- Most courses offered through extension and The Tseng College
- Year-round cohort courses offered through state support: Early Start Freshman Connection, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Social Work, Doctorate in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.)

- January 18, 2010: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day; all offices closed; no instruction. Last day to DROP all classes and qualify for a full refund (minus $10).
- January 19, 2010: Spring 2010 weekday classes begin. Saturday classes begin January 23.
- January 19 - February 5: Spring 2010 Late Registration (by permission only) and Schedule Adjustment (Weeks 1-3). Registration in repeated classes is permitted.
- February 5: Last day to register late, add classes using permission numbers, drop classes, or change basis of grading. Last day to qualify for a partial refund due to a drop in unit load below 6.1.
- March 26: Last day to qualify for a prorated refund (60% point).
- March 31: Holiday; all offices closed; no instruction (Cesar Chavez Day).
