E-mail is the official communication of the California State University, Northridge. It is your responsibility as a student to activate and monitor your university e-mail account or miss important information about enrollment status, financial aid, fees, registration, and more. If you prefer an alternate e-mail address, you can have your CSUN e-mail forwarded to it.
Steps to Enrollment

Review the Checklist for first-time freshmen.
Take EPT and/or ELM Tests immediately. These tests must be completed prior to registration. For test information, exemptions, test dates, and to register for a placement test, visit Testing Center.
Start the Intent to Enroll process. To accept your offer of admission, log into myNorthridge from the CSUN home page and submit the online Intent to Enroll. SOLAR Navigation Path: Using Internet Explorer browser version 5.0 or higher, log into myNorthridge at www.csun.edu with your CSUN User ID and Password. Then select My Path to Graduation >View Application Status >Detail
Schedule Advisement. Academic advisement is mandatory for first-time freshman as part of the registration process. To determine who to contact regarding advisement, visit Academic Advisement.
Register for Classes. The myNorthridge Portal Login on the CSUN home page at www.csun.edu is your gateway to SOLAR self service. Use the Student Center (SOLAR) to enroll in courses, pay fees and charges, check financial aid status, view class schedule and grades, print an unofficial transcript, review your Degree Progress Report (DPR)--and more.
Apply for Financial Aid. To be considered for financial aid, complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after January 1 as possible. We urge you to complete the FAFSA online and make sure to enter CSUN's Federal School Code of 001153.
Apply for Housing. Students who choose to live on campus at Cal State Northridge will find modern, spacious apartment-style living.
Required New Student Orientation. CSUN is committed to your academic success. Therefore, you are required to attend the New Student Freshman Orientation to help you learn the essentials for being a successful student.
Meet Immunization Requirements. If you were born on or after January 1, 1957, you must present proof of immunity against measles and rubella during your first semester at CSUN.
Final Official Transcripts. A final official transcript showing all items, grades, and graduation date is required. Transcripts should be sent directly from your school to: CSUN - Office of Admissions and Records, 18111 Nordhoff Street, Northridge, CA 91330-8207.
