First-Time Freshman from inside the U.S. International Students Who Have Been Admitted

Congratulations and welcome to California State University, Northridge!

You will receive a preliminary letter of admission asking you to notify your high school advisor to transfer your SEVIS record to Northridge. Once the record has been transferred, a new I-20 will be issued and held in the International and Exchange Student Center. You will need to contact that office to arrange an advisement appointment. You will also be sent test date information for the English Placement Test (EPT) and the Entry Level Mathematics Exam (ELM). Please take the placement tests at your earliest convenience.

Registration materials will be mailed to you; however, you will not register for courses until you have taken the EPT and ELM placement tests and until you have met with an advisor in the International and Exchange Student Center and an advisor in your department.
