Applying to CSUN

For admission criteria, select a student group from the list below: three students leaving the Oviatt Library building

First-Time Freshman - A first-time freshman is a student who has earned no college credit after the summer immediately following high school graduation.

Transfer - A transfer student has earned regionally accredited college credits after the summer immediately following high school graduation.

International - If you are in the country on a non-immigrant visa (F-1 or J-1) or you are applying to be on an F1 or J1 visa, then you are an international student.

Graduate - A graduate student is defined as a student who has completed a regionally accredited four-year degree. Post baccalaureate and credential students should select this link.

Veteran - Check here if you are a military veteran, active duty military, or military dependent.

Returning CSUN Student - A returning CSUN student is a student who has completed non-extension coursework in a previous spring or fall semester.

Extended Learning Student - CSUN's College of Extended Studies offers a variety of continuing education courses and programs, online and classroom-based, for credit and professional development, certification, and some degrees.
