| ![]() The Computational Materials Theory Center (CMTC) at California State University Northridge (CSUN) was established in 1997, and it is known for its commitment and excellence in both research and education. In recent years the College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) and the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) have made substantial investments in materials research. Several new senior and junior faculty members have been hired in experimental and computational materials science and an interdisciplinary graduate study program has been created. The Materials Science Research Center (MSRC) is intended both to reflect the breadth of modern materials research and to synergistically advance it. CSUN- MSRC currently engages faculty members from both CSM and CECS, postdoctoral fellows, visiting scientists, and graduate and undergraduate students. Through various research and educational programs, the MSRC-CMTC provides a forum for interaction among faculty members and students, as well as promotes cross-fertilization along with experimental explorations, through collaborations and partnerships with scientists in other universities, national labs and industrial labs.
