Abstract

SPOTLIGHT

  • Undergraduate student Andrew denio and Professor Debi Choudary travelled to China this summer to observe the solar eclipse. Check out their travel dairy and pictures HERE.
  • CSUN Graduate student Hankyu Lee developed a technique to make little dips in the atomically flat surface of graphite. These dips are about 20 nm wide and about 1 nm deep. To demonstrate the high level of control of this new technology, he wrote "CSUN". This technique is a step towards a new DNA sequencing technology that is currently being developed in the Postma lab.  See HERE for a picture of the graphite sheet.
