Gerontology Program Coordinator

Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Sciences. I received my doctoral degree in Gerontology and Public Policy from the University of Southern California (USC). Prior to becoming a gerontologist, I worked as a clinical nurse for nearly 20 years in areas that included critical care, post-anesthesia care, telemetry and sub-acute care. My areas of research include aging with disability, assistive technology and aging programs and policies.

Gerontology complements many of the academic degrees offered by Cal State University Northridge. Knowledge of the field of aging is valued by many employers. I would be happy to meet with you to discuss the program requirements and the career opportunities!
