I was born and raised in the Valley and am a CSUN graduate as well. I now
reside in Santa Monica and enjoy the best of both worlds: weekends on the
sand and weekdays teaching at CSUN. I have always been fascinated by
relationship dynamics and communication, both of which factor into the
classes/theories that I teach. Blessed to have a job that I LOVE, teaching
is both an honor and a privilege and one that I hold with trembling hands
knowing that we are all students and teachers helping each other along
toward understanding and transformation. I am very passionate about what I
teach and creating a classroom community in which students can engage with
the subject matter in a meaningful way, make some friends, and ultimately
feel like more than an ID number. While not all teachers can reach all
students, I hope to do my part in helping the students I do have succeed
both in class and toward their future career aspirations. Ultimately, when
my students succeed, I succeed.
