Amanda McRaven has a BA from the University of Virginia, an MFA in Directing from UC Irvine, and a Master's from Massey University in New Zealand, where she was on a Fulbright for Community-based Performance. Her academic and personal passions are art and social justice, creativity, and devised performance. Amanda is a director and writer, currently writing a book with one of her former students in The Voice Project, a performance and writing program for female inmates. She works with her company, Fugitive Kind, to discover performance that is audience-centered, physical, and grounded in principles of social justice. She is also a Shakespeare geek, a travel lover, and a photographer. CSUN students are her heroes!
