Undergraduate Degree - Program Requirements

Below you will find the requirements to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. To complete the undergraduate major (42 units), students must take the department’s core requirements (15 units), three units from each of the divisional bands (15 units), and the electives (12 units).  Select 12 units of upper division courses in Communication Studies and/or from approved electives in other departments. At least six units of the electives must come from courses in the Department of Communication Studies. See list below for approved outside electives.
