Registration and Holds

Registration information will be available on your web portal starting 10/28/09.

During Fall 2009, the University undertook extraordinary efforts to ensure the placement of international students in classes. Continuing international students are advised that these efforts will not be undertaken this Spring in cases where students do not take full advantage of their priority registration date.

The "Foreign" Hold:

  • Beginning October 15, 2009, IESC will review your files, specifically proof of health insurance and passport expiration date. Your "Foreign" registration hold will be lifted automatically if you have all of the following:
  • Health, repatriation and evacuation insurance valid at least through the end of the Spring 2010 semester, and
  • Your passport is valid for at least six months, and
  • You are either enrolled full time for Fall 09, or have submitted proof of concurrent enrolment, or were approved to enroll part time.

If you have a "Foreign" registration hold on your web portal after October 15th and need to renew/extend your documents, you are strongly advised to do so now!

Bring copies of renewed/extended documents to IESC so that your file can be updated and your registration hold lifted.

Other Registration Holds:

  • Review your web portal for information on other registration holds. Get all holds lifted prior to your assigned registration appointment. Do not wait till your assigned appointment date to get registration holds lifted. Allow plenty of time for campus departments to process your requests.
