A small, rounded, tanish-orange patch of K-feldspar occurs in the myrmekite in the center of the photo to the right of the crack (first order red) in the thin section. This tanish-orange matches the tanish-orange of the K-feldspar K₁ along the right edge of the photo. Because this rounded grain is in parallel optic orientation with K₁, it is interpreted to be a preserved K-feldspar remnant of K₁ in the myrmekite.
