SED-646 Course Information

Catalog Description: Design, development, and use of computer-based curricular resources for the teaching of science and mathematics. Topics include Internet resources, simulated experiments, computer-assisted instruction, mathematics tools, graphing calculators, probeware, videomicroscopy, scientific and mathematical editors, games, scientific databases, programming, robotics, and more. Review and analysis of research on the use of technology in science and mathematics education.

Readings: All of the resources necessary for this class may are provided electronically. Each assignment has links to the information necessary to complete the assignment

Participation in class discussions and activities.

80% Website

Individual Work: All written responses should be your own, individual responses. You are encouraged to help each other, but each response must be in your own words unless expressly stated otherwise by the instructor. Don't copy and paste from other's assignments unless given permission.

Thoughtful Responses: Give thoughtful responses to the questions. Don't just "parrot back" what has been said in class.
