Instructions
We have made tentative field experience and student teaching assignments . Please click on the appropriate tab at the bottom of the page (554 or 555) to see your assignment. In nearly all cases we have directly contacted the assistant principal and the master teacher, but in some cases this has not been possible. Please realize that the assignments are tentative, contingent upon your interview with the master teacher and final approval by the school administration.
Supervised Field Experience (554); Seminar day: TBA. Seminar time: TBA
- Review the syllabus for supervised field experience.
- Review your assignment information and email errors to me.
- Contact your master teacher and arrange for an interview where you can discuss your field experience. The telephone number of the school is on this page. Remember that in a few instances we do not have final confirmation, so please mention that we are proposing this assignment, and apologize for us if we have not yet been able to establish direct contact.
- To facilitate contact, I am trying to collect the home telephone numbers and email addresses of all master teachers. Please try to acquire this information on your first visit, and email it to me so I may contact them more easily. Please inform them that I prefer to contact them by email and that hopefully they will receive correspondence from me as soon as we have their address.
- If possible, acquire a copy of the teachers edition of the book you are using so that you may review it prior to the beginning of the semester
- If possible, observe your master teacher while teaching a lesson at least two times prior to the completion of this semester.
