PURPOSE

The College of Science & Mathematics Student Services Center (SSC)/EOP is designed to provide comprehensive advisement services to undergraduate students pursuing majors in the College of Science and Mathematics.

SMSSC/EOP also serves as a satellite office for the Educational Opportunity Program.

SMSSC/EOP facilitates the entrance of first time freshmen by serving as the initial contact point for these students.

Empowering students by providing quality holistic advisement, mentoring and other student services to ensure educational excellence.

The College of Science & Mathematics Student Services Center (SMSSC)/EOP provides comprehensive advisement services to undergraduate students pursuing majors in the College of Science and Mathematics. SMSSC/EOP facilitates the entrance of first time freshmen by serving as the initial contact point for these students. Undergraduate Science and Mathematics students can expect to receive information about the campus and its policies, as well as information about their major. In addition, first time students will receive assistance in developing class schedules, identifying pre-requisites and will be provided with an individualized registration session utilizing Touch Tone or Online Registration.

Continuing students have access to a multitude of services ranging from class scheduling, MAP Review, academic advisement to information and assistance in accessing financial aid resources, potential employment opportunities, research internships, tutoring, and other campus resources.
