Urban Myths and Legends
Project 1
For our first class project we wanted the class to be creative
by
coming up with their own creative Urban Legend.
We gave each group 5 random words which they had to include
in their Urban Legend.
Here are the results.
Urban Legends Created in Class
As a kid I heard that an old lady neighbor
would say if you walked backwards
by her house you will get sick and
definitely die!
There once was a teacher in school
who gave quizzes when the weather was cool.
Although it made her happy,
the kids felt really crappy
and instead saw her as a fool.
If you look at the sky and
you smell rain and soft rain drops fall
on your head slowly while driving,
the police will pull you over.
A few years ago
I heard that my mom's co-worker from her old job in Malibu had a ferret
that used to sleep on top of the T.V. One day, for no
reason, it attacked a baby and scatched it. When the baby died,
the autopsy report showed that the probable cause of death was
SIDS. But later, when they received the tissue sample from the lab
it showed that the abby actually died from a heart explosion. It
turns out that radiation from the T.V. over a long period of time can
cause ferrets to go wild because the radiation causes it's brain
to produce high levels of dopamine and norepinephrine. it's scratch
caused the baby's heart rate to speed up to a lethal level.
That's why ferrets are now illegal in California.
