Creativity has been a part of my life since I was very young.
My mother was a
strong advocate for creativity; coming up with fun games for my siblings
and I
to play, and always allowing us to express ourselves in any way that
we
wanted. My creative home environment helped pave the way for
me to be
the self-expressive and talented person that I have become.
As children, my
siblings and I would hold 'talent shows' in our living room that included
other children from the neighborhood; we would make club houses, paintings,
poems, we would dance, sing, and perform; anything that would help
get (
as my mother would say)our 'creative juices flowing'. As a teenager,
I
attended several performing arts schools while keeping a vigerous class
schedual and practice scheduals for drama, dance and ice skating shows.
With
this discipline and background it is no wonder why I have fallen into
perhaps
the most creative communities I have ever encountered in my life, The
Underground. Here, I have been blessed to be surrounded by creativity
everywhere I turn... artists of all kinds, musicians, poets, and dancers
alike. Being a part of a community that runs and thrives on individual
and
group creativity has given me the insight and the power to find my
own path in life and
follow it, wherever it might take me. And, right now it is taking
me towards
FIRE...that's right the most dangerous yet beautiful elements in the
Universe.
I am honored to be one of the few that has harnessed and danced
with fire and it moves me like nothing else in my life. When
I flow with fire
there is nothing else in the world more important...I am blinded by
it and
can't see past it, I am filled with its' warmth and energy, I am humbled
by
its' constant kisses, and my mind, body, and spirit are fulfilled all
at once. Nothing else compares to the intensity I feel from fire...
fire is
my meditation, fire is my boyfriend, fire is my creative outlet, fire
is my
life. For now, this is the creativity that I have to offer the world.
finally gave something back to the community that has given me so much.
proud to say that we have become renouned for our fire safety and our
talent.
probably the most talented group of artists I have ever met.
