Director's Welcome...

Welcome to the new, improved website for the Center for Community Service-Learning at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Our redesign is aimed at increasing access to the information and resources that students, faculty and community agencies need to maximize the effectiveness of existing partnerships and start new ones.

We hope our website and the interactive database to which it is linked will help CSUN enhance student learning through meaningful service to those who live, work and engage in activities that seek to improve the quality of life in our region. This site will carry timely listings of service learning course offerings, community needs that can be addressed by students, special events, funding opportunities, resources, and news. It will link to additional information from throughout the country that can be accessed to answer questions, spur creativity, or locate scholarly research in the service-learning arena. It will also allow community partners to contact us when they need student power on a particular project or issue and help faculty and students match their experiential learning to real community needs.

We are proud of the progress we have made toward collaboration with non-profit and public agencies. We hope our new website will make us even more useful to all those we serve and we welcome your ideas and suggestions.
