Yellowstone - Gardner River, MT I came to the West in high school after growing up in the South and the Midwest. I majored in art at UC Santa Cruz with a B.A in.studio art in painting and printmaking. I have been a professional artist for over 20 years (exhibiting nationally, commissions, freelance illustrations) The media I work in are: watercolor, collage, colored pencil and acrylics. I have been teaching for 14 years to kids and adults. I currently teach beginning and advanced art classes at Santa Clara High School in Oxnard, Ca. I am happily married, and with my husband,Tom, have helped to raise three amazing young men. I love the beauty of art and nature, and the solitude of the wilderness. "My work contains the seed of an idea that I strive to express: that the inner patterns and rhythms of our lives relate to the outer natural world" |
