Students
wishing to audition for the department, for entrance into the Music
program, must submit an audition application by the specified deadline.
Students auditioning must be in the process of admission to the University
for the semester they are auditioning for.
Fall 2008 Entrance Auditions
(by appointment only)
Saturday, February 23, 2008 (deadline Feb. 6th) & Saturday, March 8, 2008 (Deadline Feb. 20th)
Music Options available are listed on the audition application form.
If you would like to audition, please review our audition
requirements. To sign up for auditions please fill out
the Audition
Application Form (use of PC recommended). All audition applications
must be received by the specified deadline - no exceptions. If faxing, must be in by 4:00 pm fax# 818-677-3255. Illegible applications will not be accepted, please type or print your information clearly.
If you alraedy auditioned and got accepted into the program, please fill out the Acceptance Form and return it to us no later than May 1st. You can fill out, print out and fax your form to 818-677-3255.
Spring 2009 Entrance Auditions

Saturday, November 8, 2008 (Application will be available September '08)

Fall 2008 - Undergraduate Placement Tests: Saturday, May 10, 2008
(no appointment required. YOU WILL BE ASKED FOR YOUR STUDENT ID # - bring this information with you)
Musicianship Placement Exam - CY 265 - 10:30am and 11:30am (two exams available - you only need to attend one, the exam is about 1 hour, please bring writing utensils: pen, pecil, etc.)
Keyboard Musc. Placement Exam - CY 240 - 9-10am (this test takes approx. 10 min)
Harmony/Theory Placement Exam - CY 113 - 1pm (please be prompt, this exam will last about 1-2 hours)
Late Fall 2008 - Undergraduate Placement Tests: TBA
(no appointment required. Times and rooms will be posted in July '08)
