Fall 2007 Liberal Studies Conference

Liberal Studies Conference, “Future Teachers Making a Difference in Children’s Future” a great success….

On Saturday, September 29, 2007, the Liberal Studies Program held its first annual conference at CSUN.  About a 100 Teacher Preparation Option students attended a variety of workshops on topics such as fun and engaging science activities in the classroom, Career Center services for teachers and how to have a successful LAUSD job search, classroom management, and working with students with special needs.  The presenters consisted of CSUN alumnae, LAUSD teachers and administrators, and CSUN faculty and staff.  Here are some of the comments shared by the attendees:

I really enjoyed the Music and Dance workshop.  It was very informative and FUN!

I found the two workshops that I attended to be the most helpful.  Especially the one about classroom management.  It helped to calm a lot of my fears and answer a lot of questions.

It was such a worthwhile way to spend a Saturday morning.
