Other information:

The requirements for the master's degree include seminars that discuss the primary literature, courses on presenting and analyzing biological data, and a thesis that is an original contribution to the field. Many graduate students partially support themselves through assistantships.

The admission process must be initiated by October 15th for the following Spring semester or March 15th for the following Fall semester. You must apply to the University on the CSU application form, apply to the biology program on our application form, have transcripts sent, take the general GRE, and take the subject GRE.

To send your GRE scores, the CSUN GRE Institutional Code is 4707; please also send unofficial copies of your scores to the Biology Department Graduate Coordinator with your Department Application.
