EFFECTIVE TREATMENT FOR OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE
DISORDER
This 3-hour seminar will include
a description of obsessive compulsive disorder, its etiology, the course
of the disease and the most current treatments. How to make a differential
diagnosis between OCD, Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder, obsessive
compulsive traits and O-C spectrum disorders will be stressed. Treatment
goals, therapeutic techniques, including cognitive behavioral, thought
stopping, exposure/response prevention, reframing and relabeling will be
taught as well as the most recent research regarding medication.
There will be opportunity for questions and discussion of difficult cases.

Dr. Endlich is a registered Marriage
and Family Therapist. She has taught stress management, assertiveness training,
anxiety/panic reduction, successful relationships, defeating depression
and decision making at various institutions including: LA Pierce College
and LA Valley College. Additionally, she offered courses at the University
of Phoenix and the North Valley Jewish Community Center. Dr. Endlich was
the Clinical Director for the San Fernando Valley Counseling Center as
well as Consultant/Teacher at Granada Hills Hospital. She has a private
practice in Sherman Oaks, CA.
